Tattoos
Fran is a former coworker of mine at Little Vinnie's. He has been eager to learn as a tattoo artist ever since I've met him and I feel like he's definitely going about things the right way. The funny thing is I still feel like I have so much to learn, and by giving him tips about technique and design I've learned a lot about myself too. Unfortunately these days there are a lot of bad tattooers out there and a lot of them don't even seem to know it, or even worse, they don't care. It's refreshing to see someone who truly cares about the craft and strives to get better everyday. It also feels rewarding to give back to another artist much in the way my mentors have done for me. Jon Kellogg, Uncle Pauly, Eric Gregory, and Vinnie Myers are some of my main influences so far in my career, as well as all the other talented people I've been lucky enough to work with. I wouldn't have gone anywhere in the tattoo world without them and I hope I can do the same for another artist one day. I think it's important to keep tattoo secrets sacred and only give the information to those who have proven they truly deserve it. I'm thankful Fran let me do this tattoo for him, he's a talented artist and I'm eager to see his progression through the years.
