Hello,
My name is Dave Wah and I am an award winning tattoo artist and portrait artist. Located just outside of Baltimore, Maryland, I work at Little Vinnie's Tattoos in Finksburg. I have been tattooing in Maryland since 2002 and I am constantly trying to learn and grow in this business. I specialize in black and grey portrait tattoos, but i also do illustrative tattoos. Along with the portrait tattoos I've been really excited to focus on my own style, which tends to blend realistic elements with a neo-traditional tattoo approach. I pride myself in being a well-rounded artist, capable of approaching and tattooing in many different styles, doing whatever it takes to make the tattoo look amazing. I enjoy doing both black and grey and color tattoos, each tattoo has its own unique challenges which I always look forward to. I don't particularly enjoy doing COVER UPS or "FIXING" shitty tattoos, sorry, but it's just not something I'm into. I travel to quite a few tattoo conventions up and down the east coast, as well as across the country, so if you aren't from the area make sure you check the "conventions" tab on my website to see if I'll be near you in the future. I appreciate you taking the time to look through my portfolio, there are many great, amazing and talented tattoo artists in and around the baltimore area, and I am truly greatful if you choose me to be the one to do your next tattoo.
Thanks!
Dave
Due to my increased work load and number of appointments, I recommend contacting me AT LEAST FOUR TO FIVE MONTHS before you would like to get started on your tattoo. I wish there was a way to get everyone in quickly, but there is only so much time in the day. I'm currently contemplating changing to a waiting list format for my scheduling, so if you want to get in then the time is now. I appreciate those who are willing to wait for quality work.

I got into the tattoo business at Artistic Creations Tattoo Studio which is now called Crucial Tattoo. That shop is located in Salisbury, Maryland, stop by there if you get a chance and check out their work, they are all great artists. In 2001, I began my apprenticeship under Eric Booth, owner and artist at Artistic Creations. Eric taught me the essentials of the trade, and I'm very lucky he took on such a young apprentice. I was only 18 at the time, going back and forth between classes at Salisbury University and the tattoo shop. Eventually I graduated college with an art degree in drawing, and I decided to continue my career as a professional tattoo artist. I worked at Artistic Creations for 5 years before gaining an interest in playing music. I started a band and began to pursue a career in music.
Fast forward 2 years: After travelling and living in costa rica, living in ocean city, maryland, and playing music full time, I began to feel the urge to get back into tattooing. This time I would enter the tattoo world with a passion to learn, and I was willing to dedicate my life to becoming the best artist I could be.
I got the job at Little Vinnie's Tattoos at the westside shop and it completely changed my life. Now I work at both locations and all of the artists have helped me so much. I'm constantly learning and trying new things.
Tattooing is hard work. I love everything about it though. I've made a promise to myself, and to my clients, that I will approach every project with respect. I will give it the time it deserves and I will never settle for mediocre. I will learn, grow, and become the best artist possible.
